Big and middle groupers:
Jump the River
The children are taking a walk in the woods (gym) and may need to cross a stream or river. Children walk throughout the designated space and when they come to a river (rope, hoop, or tape line on floor) they need to jump over the river without getting their feet wet.
High Five in the Middle
The children work in pairs. Partners stand on separate lines facing one another. On signal they walk to the middle and give each other a high five, low five or right/left elbow, right/left foot…etc. and return home to their respective lines.
Arts and crafts:
We made bird feeders to take to the forest using toilet rolls and seeds. Also, we made snowmen using socks filled with rice.
Other:
On Wednesday we went to the forest to place the bird feeders that we had made on tree branches for the birds. On Thursday we went for a walk around the kindergarten and went to the playground.

We made a poster about healthy eating sticking healthy and unhealthy foods on cardboard. We did a task sheet deciding which fruits we would use for our fruit salad and circling healthy and crossing out unhealthy foods.

On Wednesday the kindergarten leavers went to Újpest market where they made a bakery product and looked around the market to see the fruit and vegetables and other goods sold there.

Grizzly Bear tag:
A volunteer “Grizzly Bear” is sleeping in the middle of the circle. The children sing this song:
Grizzly Bear, oh Grizzly Bear
Is sleeping in a cave.
Grizzly’s very tired,
Very ,very tired,
If you wake him, if you shake him, he gets very mad.
On the word “mad” the children shake “Grizzly Bear” awake who gets up. The children run away and “Grizzly Bear” catches one of them. This child is the next “Grizzly Bear”.
Arts and crafts:
We cut different- sized circles out of wrapping paper and the children glued them on blue paper forming a bear and stuck snowflakes around them.
Other:
Bear Paw Hunt:
We printed out some bear paws and hid them all over the room. The children went to find them. The child with the most bear paws was the winner.
On Wednesday we went to the forest to check the birdfeeders that we had placed on the trees a few weeks before and had fun in the snow.

We made Valentine’s Day hearts applying different colour paint on one side of our hearts and folding them in half to make that side colourful too.
Also, we made clowns using streamers.
